AI and its affiliated companies and subsidiaries collect, store, use, disclose, and otherwise process information about you in the context of our business operations, including through our websites that link to this notice (such as oppr.ai); the "Oppr B.V."; our software-as-a-service offering; and our marketing and sales activities (collectively, our "Services"). It also includes important information about your privacy rights.

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT


We collect information that can be used on its own or in combination with other information in our possession to identify you ("Personal Information") in the following ways:


  • Information you provide: We may collect personal information when you create an account to use our services or communicate with us.

  • Communication information: When you communicate with us, we may collect your name, contact details, and the content of the messages you send ("Communication Information").

  • Payment information: When you purchase or subscribe to our services, we may collect your billing details, such as your credit card number, expiration date, and billing address, or use a third-party payment processor to process your payments ("Payment Information").

  • Information we collect through our social media pages: We post messages on social media websites like YouTube, LinkedIn, and others ("Social Media Pages"). When you interact with our social media pages, we collect personal information that you choose to provide to us, such as your contact details ("Social Information"). Additionally, the companies that host our social media pages may provide us with aggregated information and analytics about the use of our social media pages.

  • Automatically received personal information when using our services: When you visit, use, or interact with our services, we may receive certain information about your visit, use, or interactions ("Technical Information"), including:
    • Log data: Information that your browser automatically sends each time you visit the site ("Log Data"). Log data includes your internet protocol address, browser type and settings, the date and time of your request, and how you interacted with the site.
    • Usage data: We may automatically collect information about your use of our services, such as the types of content you view or interact with, the features you use, and the actions you take, as well as your time zone, country, the dates and times of access, user agent and version, type of computer or mobile device, computer connection, IP address, and the like.

Cookies: A cookie is a small set of information that websites you visit send to your computer for identification purposes. Cookies can be used to track your activity on the website, and that information helps us understand your preferences and improve your website experience. Cookies are also used for activities such as remembering your login details for our services. In addition to the cookies used by us and our service providers, some cookies are placed by third parties such as Google (for analytics, described below). Online Tracking and Do Not Track signals: Our website currently does not respond to "Do Not Track" ("DNT") signals and operates as described in this privacy policy, whether or not a DNT signal is received.

HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION

We do not sell your personal information. We may use personal information for the following purposes:


  • Delivering, managing, maintaining, improving, and/or analyzing the Services;

  • Communicating with you, including discussing options for using the Oppr B.V.;
  • Developing new features and services;
  • Preventing fraud, criminal activities, or misuse of our services, and ensuring the security of our IT systems, architecture, and networks;
  • Complying with legal obligations and legal processes and protecting our rights, privacy, safety, or property, and/or those of our affiliates, you, or other third parties.

Aggregated Information: We may aggregate personal information and use the aggregated information to analyze the effectiveness of our Services, to improve our Services, and to add new features. In addition, we may from time to time analyze the general behavior and characteristics of users of our Services and share such aggregated information like general user statistics with third parties, publish such aggregated information, or make such aggregated information generally available.


DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

In certain circumstances, we may share your personal information with third parties without further notice to you, unless required by law, including but not limited to the situations below:


  • Suppliers, Service Providers, and Subprocessors: To help us meet business operation needs and perform certain services and functions, we may share personal information with vendors, service providers, and subprocessors, including providers of hosting services, cloud service providers, and other providers of information technology services, event management services, email communication software and email newsletter services, advertising and marketing services, and web analytics services. Under our instructions, these parties will make personal information accessible, process, or store as part of performing their duties for us. A current list of our subprocessors is available here.
  • Business Transfers: If we are involved in strategic transactions, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, or transition of service to another provider (collectively a "Transaction"), your personal information and other information may be shared in the due diligence process with counterparties and others assisting with the Transaction and transferred to a successor or affiliate as part of that Transaction along with other assets.
  • Legal Requirements: If legally required or in the sincere belief that such action is necessary to (i) comply with a legal obligation, including meeting national security or law enforcement requirements, (ii) protect and defend our rights or property, (iii) prevent fraud, (iv) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Services or the public, or (v) protect against legal liability.
  • Affiliates: We may share personal information with our "Affiliates," meaning an entity that is controlled by, controls, or is under common control with Counsel AI. Our Affiliates may use the personal information we share in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy.
  • Other Users: certain actions you take may be visible to other users of our services.

REQUEST FOR ACTION

To request access, deletion, rectification, restriction, or portability of your personal information, please contact us at privacy@oppr.ai. We reserve the right to limit our cooperation with such requests to what is legally required.


To protect your personal information from unauthorized access, deletion, rectification, or restriction, we may require that you verify your identity before we process any request to access or delete personal information. If we cannot verify your identity (and if applicable, proof of residence) to our satisfaction, we will not provide or delete your personal information.


You may submit a request to access or delete your personal information through an authorized representative. Such a representative must show a signed written authorization to act on your behalf and must be able to verify your identity (and if applicable, proof of residence) to our satisfaction.


We will not discriminate against you for making such a request.


SECURITY

We take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your personal information in an effort to prevent loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. We use suitable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including: physical access controls, encryption, intrusion detection, and network monitoring, depending on the nature of the information and the scope of processing. Our staff who have access to your information are required to keep that information confidential.


DATA RETENTION AND DELETION

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. We may also retain your personal information for legitimate business interests, such as complying with our legal obligations, resolving disputes, and maintaining our records. When we no longer need your personal information, we will delete or anonymize it in accordance with our data retention policy and applicable law, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from further processing until deletion is possible.


NO CHILDREN

Our websites and services are not aimed at individuals under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 16 years of age. If you have reason to believe that a minor under the age of 16 has provided us with personal information through our Services, please contact us at privacy@oppr.ai and we will endeavor to delete that information from our systems.

Our Services may contain links to other websites that are not operated or controlled by us, including social media services ("Third Party Websites"). The information you share with Third Party Websites is governed by the specific privacy policies and terms of service of the Third Party Websites and not by this Privacy Policy. Currently, Oppr B.V. operates only within the Dutch national borders.

CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post an updated version on this page, unless another type of notification is required by law or contractually agreed upon. By continuing to use our service or provide us with personal information after we have posted an updated Privacy Policy, or otherwise informed you, you consent to the revised Privacy Policy.
